Learn the idea
Separate a planning error from a hardware or model limitation. In a grid, trace position and direction after each command. Find the first state that differs from the intended route. Change the relevant command and run the whole route again from the same start.
Worked example
Intended: from east, turn to north. Buggy command: right. Actual result: south. Replace right with left, then check the later forward moves as well.
- Keep the start state identical for comparisons.
- Find the first wrong direction or square.
- Retest the full route after the correction.
