Speaking in complete sentences

Answer in complete sentences while keeping the question’s meaning.

Original Kidemy beginner self-study unit · Learn the idea, try the practical activity and review your written answers. Practise spoken delivery with a teacher or proficient listener. Teacher-led course approval and booking are separate.

Learn the idea

A complete answer can use key words from the question. Replace names with pronouns only when the reader can still identify them. Give enough information without copying an entire passage.

Worked example

Question: Where did Mina put the pot? Answer: Mina put the pot near the window. A later sentence may use she if Mina is still clearly the subject.

  1. Start with the person or topic.
  2. Add the requested action or detail.
  3. Read the answer without the question to check clarity.
