Speaking, listening and presentation

Discuss, listen and adapt a prepared response to a live question.

Original Kidemy O Level progression. This level has its own text, examples and questions. Curriculum versions share the progression; complete board-specific coverage still needs specification matching and additional material.

Learn the idea

A speaking task tests communication with a listener, so structure and responsiveness both matter. A prepared example should support an answer without replacing the question asked. Spoken performance needs review by a teacher or proficient listener, not a typed-answer counter.

Worked example

Question: Would a new club be practical? A useful response considers actual constraints such as room, staff time and access, then offers a conditional judgement.

  1. Read the text and identify the purpose.
  2. Support your answer with a specific detail.
  3. Revise meaning, structure and accuracy.
