About this lesson and its coverage

Original Model Test for Exam unit. These questions and suggested practice times are independent Kidemy material, not an official or past paper. Choose modules for the target programme; all listed subjects are not required for every applicant.

Learn the idea

An equation must stay balanced. Drawings need stated properties rather than assumptions from appearance. Data summaries describe selected features: the mean uses every value while the median uses order. Explain what the calculation measures before drawing a conclusion.

Worked example

For 3x+5=26, x=7. A triangle with angles 45° and 65° has third angle 70°. The mean of 4, 6, 8 is 6: an equal share of the total 18 over three values.

  1. Translate words into a labelled model.
  2. Calculate and check.
  3. Explain the result and its limit.
