Learn the idea

An adaptation is a feature that helps an organism in its environment. A food chain models feeding relationships; arrows point from food to the organism eating it.

Worked example

Grass → grasshopper → frog shows that the grasshopper eats grass and the frog eats the grasshopper.

  1. Read the example and explain which rule or evidence it uses.
  2. Try each task yourself, then compare the answer and its reason.

Foxes may have less of that food. Other prey, habitat and other conditions also matter, so the chain alone cannot determine their number.

Use a possible consequence without claiming a certain population outcome.
