About this lesson and its coverage

Original Model Test for Exam unit. These questions and suggested practice times are independent Kidemy material, not an official or past paper. Choose modules for the target programme; all listed subjects are not required for every applicant.

Learn the idea

Compare like units and read a chart’s key before counting. Time is not a decimal scale: an hour has 60 minutes. For money, find the total cost before subtracting from payment. Describe shapes by properties rather than their orientation.

Worked example

A pencil costs Tk 8. Three cost Tk 24; paying Tk 30 leaves Tk 6. A lesson from 2:40 to 3:10 lasts 20+10 = 30 minutes. In a pictogram, each star may represent more than one vote.

  1. Identify unit and key.
  2. Separate multi-step calculations.
  3. Check the result in context.
