Learn the idea

Begin a sentence and a person’s name with a capital letter. A statement ends with a full stop. A direct question ends with a question mark.

Worked example

where is rina → Where is Rina?

  1. Where starts the sentence. Rina is a name, so both begin with capitals.
  2. The speaker asks something, so the end mark is a question mark.
