Learn the idea

There are 60 minutes in an hour. Duration means how long something lasts. Count through the hour boundary instead of treating time like a decimal.

Worked example

From 2:45 to 3:15: 15 minutes to 3:00, then 15 more. Duration = 30 minutes.

  1. Write a short timeline and count each jump.
  2. One week is 7 days. The same weekday comes again 7 days later.
