Speaking, listening and presentation

Lead a seminar by clarifying claims and summarising disagreement accurately.

Original Kidemy Class 12 progression. This level has its own text, examples and questions. Curriculum versions share the progression; complete board-specific coverage still needs specification matching and additional material.

Learn the idea

A seminar response should identify which claim is challenged and what evidence is relevant. A summary can preserve disagreement without forcing consensus. Good questioning tests an assumption or asks for a definition rather than merely inviting repetition.

Worked example

A speaker says “more feedback is better”. A participant asks whether better means confidence, revision quality or completion time. The clarification changes what evidence would answer the claim.

  1. Read the text and identify the purpose.
  2. Support your answer with a specific detail.
  3. Revise meaning, structure and accuracy.

The group agrees feedback can be useful but has not established that more is always better; amount, timing and outcome still need definition.

Retain the unresolved issue and any real agreement.
