His genie’s colour

Bangla or English, whichever he wants. A Bangla name is shown in his speech bubble but not read aloud — the English voice would mangle it, so it stays silent rather than wrong.

Religion lessons

The national books carry a religion subject with a separate edition for each faith — ইসলাম, হিন্দুধর্ম, বৌদ্ধধর্ম and খ্রিষ্টধর্ম. Pick the one he studies and only that book is ever used. Leave it unset and religion is left out entirely, which is also the right answer if you would rather it stayed out — no entrance test asks for it.

Coins

The first game started each day pays 10 coins. Right answers pay 3. Listening to a poem, reading a lesson and reciting out loud pay too. Coins can never drop below zero whichever you pick.

About “Recite”: the microphone checks that he speaks in separate, clear bursts for about as long as the poem takes — it does not check the words themselves, because no browser can do that for Bangla verse. The app doesn’t tell him that, so he has no reason to try mumbling through it. If you want certainty he actually knows it, listen once yourself and use “I said it — a guardian checked”.

Keeping him on the app

Read this bit. No website can stop a child leaving — not this one, not any. Browsers forbid it on purpose, so there is no home button to block and no way to refuse being closed. Focus mode does the strongest things a page is allowed to do: fill the screen, keep it awake, pause the moment he leaves, put a step in the way when he returns, and count the wanders so the progress page can tell you whether this is actually happening.

The genie’s voice

He speaks English on every screen, including বাংলা জগৎ — one voice, one character. This switch is only his chatter: the 🔊 read-aloud buttons on questions and poems are separate and stay on either way. Tap him for a friendly response or a reading prompt. About the money

Coins turn into Taka at the Genie's Bank, two coins to the taka, any time, no daily limit. The piggy bank pays ৳1 on every ৳10 left in it for a week. Before paying, the app checks both the calendar and how long the device has really been running, so winding the clock forward to farm interest is hard — but not impossible for a determined child with a laptop, and the app does not tell him which check it uses. Interest can never exceed an eighth of what he has earned by playing. The hint shelf restocks each morning: "sold out" is a limit, not a lock. Gifts stay available at fixed prices and can be bought with coins or Taka. Nothing he has bought or won is taken away by chance. There are no loans and nothing is ever wagered.

The palace, the story, the errand and the bosses

The palace on his home screen only ever grows: one block per topic finished, gold at three stars, and a block once built is never taken down — not by changing the class, not by changing the board, not by a bad day. The genie’s lost lamp has four pieces, one per world, and finishing all four is the end of the story; the lamp he then wears cannot be bought at any price. The daily errand is three things, pays five coins once a day, and then shows tomorrow’s shop prices — looking at them does not change them, and he still cannot buy at tomorrow’s price until tomorrow. It is not a streak: missing a day shows nothing, costs nothing and resets nothing. A boss is six questions from topics he has already starred, with the chaser about 15% quicker; crashing costs no coins and no stars, the same as any Dash run. Teaching the genie lets him set five questions and mark the answers — the genie always gets exactly two wrong — and those marks go into the same progress record as his own answers, because marking correctly means knowing the answer. After each answer, a child may give him one gift bought from the shop. It is optional and changes no marks.

Solo games and saved progress need no player profile. Practice stays on this device unless you turn on family sync or export a backup. Incognito windows remove their local progress when closed. The website keeps an aggregate visit count; older player counters apply only after a profile is completed. Online contests send the nickname, school, class, age and answers to Kidemy’s server; only nickname, class and score are public. There is no advertising.

Solo play saves on this device without a player profile. A guardian can optionally turn on website sync, which stores progress and any completed player profile on our server, or export a private backup file. Incognito storage disappears when its windows close. The website asks for a nickname, school, class, age and Bangladesh/abroad choice only before legacy online contests and scoreboards. A completed profile uses a random ID for older player and game counters; only aggregate totals are public. Entering a contest sends the nickname, school, class, age and answers to our server; only nickname, class and completed score are public. Use a nickname rather than a child’s full name. There is no advertising or third-party analytics. Bangla and English read-aloud send the sentence to our server, never a name typed in the app; Arabic lesson audio uses a voice on this device.

The microphone, used only for reciting a poem, never records, never stores and never sends any audio, and there is always a way through without it.
