Kidemy (Kid Academy) — Android privacy

Kidemy is an independent learning and practice app under the Kid Academy brand, published by Arshan Fiyaz, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Contact: farhadh.35@gmail.com. No school endorsement is claimed.

OPEN TESTING EDITION
All packaged learning activities are available without a subscription in this testing version. There is no checkout or purchase verification in this app version. Learning coins have no cash value, cannot be purchased and are not monetary prizes.

The Adventure Island homepage is packaged in the app and opens offline. Its dated announcement matches the website's public learning period, from 17 October 2026 until 00:00 on 17 January 2027, Bangladesh time. Ending the announcement does not lock packaged learning or start a charge. School accounts, teacher profiles and course bookings are separate website services; this offline app does not sign you into them.

INFORMATION ON THE DEVICE
The child's chosen name, learning answers, scores, coins and learning preferences are stored on this device. Android cloud backup is disabled. Android does not include cloud learning sync, a public leaderboard or school-profile submission. Clearing app storage or uninstalling can erase local progress. Installing an update over the existing app normally keeps that data.

LOCAL BACKUP AND LEARNING RECORDS
Settings includes a learning record separating first correct answers, retries and opened help. It retains up to 3,000 recent learning events on the device; this is a practice record, not a measure of future exam performance. You can explicitly save a JSON backup through the system file picker and restore it on a device without existing learning progress. The file includes the saved profile, answers, rewards and preferences, but excludes PINs, microphone permission, account credentials and device voice choices. Keep it private. Kidemy does not upload the file; a file provider you select may sync it under its own terms. Backups inside app storage are lost if the app is uninstalled or storage is cleared.

PRIVATE ONLINE PLAY AND FRIENDS
Online play is optional and can be switched off in Settings → Online play & friends. It uses a randomly generated game nickname and account ID, an authentication token kept on this device, and a friend invitation code. It does not send the child’s chosen local name, school, age, country, contacts or full learning history. The server receives room answers, scores, friendship requests/connections and network IP addresses needed to handle and rate-limit requests. Only players who know a room code can join that room; accepted friends can compare completed results on the same questions and time allowance. There is no chat or public user search.

Unstarted rooms expire after 24 hours. A started room stays available until one hour after its play deadline; a Team Expedition has a 24-hour play window. Expired room records are removed when the next room is created. Pending friend requests expire after seven days and private completed scores after 30 days; they are removed on the next social-service request. Online identities and accepted/blocked connections remain until removed or the online profile is deleted. Use Accept, Decline, Remove, Block requests and Delete online profile in the online panel. Deleting the online profile removes friend connections and private scores; its anonymous contribution to an existing room can remain until that room expires. Authentication tokens and friends are excluded from local learning backups. Uninstalling may lose access to an online identity; contact support with its generated friend code if removal is needed. Legacy website public results are separate and are not used for new private rooms.

APP UPDATES
The app uses Google's Play In-App Updates library to check for an available update when it opens and when you select Check for updates in Settings. Google Play handles update eligibility, device/app installation information, download consent and installation under Google's privacy terms. Kidemy does not send purchase tokens or learning answers to its server for update checks. A check failure does not restrict learning. Downloads require your approval; restart to install a downloaded update when your activity is finished.

READ-ALOUD
Bangla and English read-aloud can send lesson text to kidemy.fun over HTTPS. User-entered names are not used in these requests. Our server generates and caches speech; Bangla requests may use Microsoft Azure Speech when configured, with a self-hosted voice fallback. The server receives the request's IP address. Rate limiting uses a short-lived hashed IP counter. Online voice generation needs internet; packaged text, pictures and practice activities are available offline. Device voices are a fallback where available.

MICROPHONE
The microphone is optional and requested through Android when reciting. It checks speaking bursts and approximate duration; it does not recognise or grade the words. Audio is analysed in memory and is not recorded, saved or uploaded. Refusing permission leaves a guardian-check alternative. The microphone stops when the reciting panel closes.

NETWORK LOGS AND RETENTION
Web-server access and security logs can contain IP addresses, request times and speech-request text. Optional online rooms send the answers entered in that room. Solo learning answers and microphone recordings are not uploaded. Contact us about access logs or a privacy concern; please do not send a child's full name by email.

ADS, TRACKING AND SHARING
There are no ads, ad identifiers, third-party analytics, chat or public user profiles in this Android edition. Google Play updates, optional speech and private online play are network services described above. Printing or sharing a practice paper opens Android's system interface; any destination you choose handles information under its own terms. No camera, location or contacts access is requested.

YOUR CONTROLS
Microphone permission can be denied or revoked in Android settings. Read-aloud is optional. You can decline an update and keep playing. Clear app storage to erase local learning data. This app update does not cancel any subscription previously started in Google Play; existing subscriptions must be managed there separately. For privacy questions contact farhadh.35@gmail.com.

আপনার সন্তানের অনুশীলন চালু থাকুক। এই টেস্টিং ভার্সনে কোনো পেওয়াল নেই। একা খেলার নাম, উত্তর, অগ্রগতি ও কয়েন এই ডিভাইসেই থাকে; ক্লাউড সিঙ্ক বা পাবলিক লিডারবোর্ড নেই। অ্যাপ খোলার সময় Google Play-তে আপডেট আছে কি না দেখা হয়। সেটিংস থেকেও দেখে নিতে পারবেন; আপডেট না করলেও অনুশীলন চলবে।

পরিচিতদের সঙ্গে খেলতে চাইলে সেটিংস থেকে অনলাইন প্লে চালু করুন। তখন তৈরি করা গেমের নাম, রুমের উত্তর, স্কোর ও বন্ধুর সংযোগ সার্ভারে যায়; আপনার সন্তানের নিজের নাম, স্কুল বা বয়স পাঠানো হয় না। ৮ অক্ষরের কোড শুধু পরিচিতদের দিন। রিকোয়েস্ট গ্রহণ, বাতিল বা ব্লক করতে পারবেন; অনলাইন প্রোফাইল মুছে ফেললেও একা খেলার অগ্রগতি থাকবে।

পাঠ শুনতে চাইলে পাঠের লেখা সার্ভারে যায়; মাইক্রোফোনের অডিও যায় না। মাইক্রোফোন কথাগুলোর শুদ্ধতা যাচাই করে না। অ্যাপ আনইনস্টল করলে বা স্টোরেজ মুছলে এই ডিভাইসের অগ্রগতি হারাতে পারে।
